Black Sitaw Beans

Regular price ₱300.00

These black sitaw beans were freshly harvested and dried in Kalinga by one of the farming communities of E-Care Foundation. We generally stock up twice a year on these in time with the harvest and drying and to make the most of logistics costs. Hence they tend to cook faster and be creamier than regular store-bought beans which have usually been stocked for years.

Enjoy these beans by sprouting and learn about their place in the farming story, Beans for Peace. Among others, black beans go well in an adobo or in Mexican cuisine. We've made a great chili with these. Will post recipe soon. You may also plant them and grow a sitaw garden :)

800 grams in a glass jar.
